Nora van der Linden

Nora van der Linden (born 1982) is an advisor in the field of education and government. She studied sociology and philosophy of science, with a particular focus on knowledge development and the role of knowledge in the relationships between science, government and society. Having spent 18 months teaching at the University of Amsterdam, Nora is now devoting her efforts to smarter and more innovative education.

As a student assistant, Nora was involved in multiculturalism and policy, changes in healthcare, religion and politics in the USA and Europe, and the American presidential elections in 2008.

She was also involved in a large number of issues and activities outside her studies, as chair of HappyChaos (organiser of special events for a wide and young public), assisting people with intellectual disabilities, travelling in Latin America and helping in the canteen of the local football club. Social engagement and a keen interest in people and new ideas are at the heart of all she does.

Nora grew up in Amsterdam, and as a fervent Ajax supporter, every week she tries to do justice to her shirt number 14. She is also interested in film and filmmaking.
